The DX-D70 housing is designed for beginners and professionals alike with powerful features that are easy to use. It offers high-quality 6.1 megapixel images with a speed of capture that rivals film-based single-lens reflex cameras. Its compact and easily maneuverable body gives you the freedom to capture exactly the images you want. The DX-D70 puts the power and excitement of a new generation of digital cameras into your hands.
The N-connector, a 5-pin Nikonos-type sync connector, comes as standard equipment. It provides compatibility with Sea & Sea YS series strobes (excluding models YS-25AUTO, YS-25DX, and YS-60TTL/S).
The DX-D70 is compatible with the full range of NX ports available for the Sea & Sea Nikon housing line. These ports accommodate a variety of Nikon and Sigma lenses available for the D70. You can quickly set up the DX-D70 for exactly the image-capturing configuration you need.

[Features of the Nikon D70 camera]
- Uses the Nikon DX-format CCD for image capture. Has a 6.1 mega pixel resolution and a 23.7 x 15.6 mm image pickup area. Captures a broad dynamic range and uses a high S/N ratio to reproduce human skin and animal hair vividly and faithfully.
- Has a small and lightweight body that weighs approximately 595 grams. Has a mode dial and an illuminated display panel on the top surface of the body to offer the same convenience as a film-based single-lens reflex camera. Supports PictBridge, which allows it to connect directly to a PictBridge-compatible printer and print images recorded on a CF card.
- Starts up approximately 0.2 seconds after it's turned on and is then ready to shoot. Speeds up image data transfer and writing time to reduce shutter lag for prompt image capture and smooth continuous capture.
- Quickly processes image information, enabling continuous capture at a speed of approximately 3 frames/second up to 144 frames.
